WestboundHQ (“we,” “us,” “our”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what rights you have regarding it. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

We collect the following types of personal data:

  • Identity Data: First and last name.
  • Contact Data: Email address, phone number, billing address, and mailing address.

  • Usage Data: Information about how you use our website, products, and services.
  • Communications Data: Your preferences for receiving marketing and other communications from us.

How We Collect Your Data

We collect personal data primarily through:

  • Direct interactions: When you fill out a form on our website, create an account, subscribe to our services, request information, or contact us by phone, email, or text.
  • Automated technologies: As you interact with our website, we may collect technical data through cookies, server logs, and similar technologies.

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide our services: Perform the work we’ve agreed to do for you, including tax preparation, bookkeeping, and related services.
  • Communicate with you: Respond to inquiries, send service updates, and provide customer support.
  • Send marketing communications: Share relevant updates, blog posts, and offers — only when you’ve opted in.
  • Operate our SMS program: If you’ve opted in, send you appointment reminders, deadline reminders, document requests, account notifications, and other service-related messages.
  • Improve our services: Understand how clients use our services so we can keep getting better.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We work with trusted third-party providers (IT services, data storage, telecom, and similar vendors) who help us run our business. They are contractually required to keep your data confidential and to use it only to provide services on our behalf.
  • Legal obligations: When required by law, court order, or to respond to legal processes.
  • Protection of rights: To protect our rights, property, and safety, or that of our clients and others.

SMS / Mobile Information

WestboundHQ collects mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent from clients and prospective clients who choose to communicate with us by text.

Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all data-sharing categories listed in this Privacy Policy. This information is used solely to deliver the messages you’ve agreed to receive from WestboundHQ.

Our SMS program is used to send appointment reminders, document requests, deadline reminders (estimated taxes, IFTA, Form 2290, etc.), account notifications, and general two-way communication with our team. Message frequency varies based on your account activity — typically fewer than 10 messages per month. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP, email [email protected], or call (816) 875-0093.

For complete SMS terms, see our SMS Terms & Conditions.
